West Ham United full-back Ben Johnson’s future at the club hangs in the balance as his contract approaches its expiry date this summer.

Johnson’s current contract with West Ham expired at the end of this last season, making him now a free agent.

Galatasaray, a major Turkish club, has emerged as a potential destination for Johnson. Fotomac have reported that they have tabled a lucrative offer of £1 million per season, a significant financial incentive.

While West Ham are expected to offer Johnson a new contract to retain him, it’s unlikely to match the riches offered by Galatasaray.

Despite showing promise in his previous outings, Johnson hasn’t been able to secure a regular starting position at West Ham. This lack of playing time might influence his decision.

Leeds United’s initial interest in signing Johnson on a free transfer has dwindled after their failed Premier League promotion bid.

The ball is now in Johnson’s court. He must weigh the prestige of playing in the Premier League with West Ham against the substantial financial offer from Galatasaray.

Simon! do you actually read what you copy and paste or do you post stuff just to make yourself look stupid and an inept reporter?

“Johnson’s current contract with West Ham expires at the end of the season, making him a free agent in the upcoming transfer window”

1: season has ended, contract runs out at the end of June.
2: upcoming transfer window? it opened today.

“Johnson’s current contract with West Ham expired at the end of this last season, making him now a free agent.” is what it says in the article by Simon Leyland. However I don’t know if he’s made that change after reading your criticism or if you didn’t read it properly.

It looks like Simom must be a robot since he has not replied as you requested! Is it a case of Artificial Intelligence or Human Incompetence? 🤣

Just churning out sh*te to fill space. Really embarrassing twaddle on here, spreading gossip, building people up, then calling them failures. They have no clue at what’s going on. I thought Johnson was close to signing a new 5 year contract. All he wanted was the chance to show what he can do on a regular basis. I’m 100% you know that too, but these numb nuts don’t!

  • Len Scannell says:

Surely Johnson wanted a salary of £2.5m a year from WHU and must be on around £1m a year already? If that is all Galatasaray are offering then why would he consider that? Doesn’t make sense…

  • West Ham Voice says:

    Offer of £1m per season?
That’s what he’s on now so hardly a lucrative deal
He wants significantly more … around £3m per season

I dare say a compromise will be reached for him to stay at West Ham

  • Sensible says:

Its now been proven that for BJ the grass is not greener on the other side and I now expect him to sign a new contract

  • Not so sensible says:

Galatasaray have offered him £2m per season
