Niclas Fullkrug has expressed his enthusiasm about joining West Ham United, praising the club’s attacking talent and competitive spirit.
The German striker, who completed his move from Borussia Dortmund earlier this week, believes he can form a formidable partnership with the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, and Crysencio Summerville. Fullkrug’s arrival is seen as a significant boost to West Ham’s attacking options, and the player himself is eager to contribute to the club’s success.
The former Dortmund forward was impressed by West Ham’s playing style and the opportunity to work with manager Julen Lopetegui, who he has previously worked with at Werder Bremen.
In an interview with the West Ham Official site, he said:
“I spoke with the Head Coach, I watched some games and I know some players, so from seeing this I can see that there is a lot of quality in the team, a lot more than ninth place, and hopefully we can do better next season and reach the European places in the table.
“The fans want to see a successful team, see a team that gives everything on the pitch, and I hope they will be happy with me as I always give my best.”
Fullkrug’s determination to succeed and his belief in the club’s potential have generated excitement among West Ham fans.
Seen the interview and what a very amiable man he seems… many whining about his age but this man seems to have his feet firmly on the ground clearly knows what he is good at and for once an out and out striker who i am damn sure will become a big fan favourite and will put the ball in the net more often than Haller or Scamacca ever did or could….so welcome Fulla(he likes to be called that)make us proud and if you hit the winner against the spuds you will become an overnight hero.
Why is age the be all and end all ? Class is class surely
