C&H’s earlier exclusive that Niclas FĆ¼llkrug has travelled with the West Ham squad to face Leicester City tomorrow is excellent news for both the player and the club.
However, nothing has changed regarding his unhappiness in England, and it is understood that the striker would look to move back to Germany if at all possible.
His return to fitness, though, could prove to be a massive boost not only for Julen Lopetegui’s chances of keeping his Hammers job but also as an opportunity for the German striker to prove his worth. If the attacker can hit something approaching top form, it could persuade a Bundesliga team to make a bid for him.
At present, there have been no transfer offers or even tentative interest in FĆ¼llkrug, who has failed to settle at the London Stadium. Not only has he struggled to make an impression with current head coach Lopetegui, but he has also had a public falling out with the man likely to succeed himāEdin TerziÄ.
Last week, a top source at the London Stadium informed us that the Ā£27m forward could still ask to leave and that all eventualities remain on the table. As a result, the club has continued its search for a striker, with the only real certainty being that Michail Antonio will remain at West Ham until at least the end of this season.
Funny how he becomes available a month before transfer window opens , he’s putting himself in the shop window , hopefully gone in January
He has to try and impress as a thank you to West Ham and good performances will hopefully get other teams in Germany interested in taking back
We all want him to score goals!
Ignore the propaganda from top sources that tend to side with Sully and Brady.
get rid of him, hes just typical of sullivan a cheaper option, mind you who would buy him now on what hes done at west ham ? the best we would get is a loan deal where we pay a chunk of his wages.
Here we go, the doom-mongers are at it again.
He knows that Terzic will be the new manager so he is cutting
his exit trail early .
Thatās how predictable Sullivan is
Clearly Steidten wanted Duran but was over ruled by Sullivan based on price . Sullivan tells Steidten to get a cheaper option and he did . Everyone and his dog knew that Fulkrug was a useless , broken old donkey . Everyone and his dog knew that LOSEpetegui was the incompetent Spanish Moyes . Expert oversight is what’s needed at Westham to prevent these oh so obvious mistakes from being made . Westham fans could vote on these options and come up with more successful outcomes .
Totally agree Phil.
Totally agree Phil and John 100%
Why does your top source put out information that is likely to be harmful to Fullkrug? I mean tell the fans that the bloke who has been injured all season wants out of the club. How do they think that will go down with the fans?
Depends what’s more important to you, West Ham and the fans or Fullkrug.
C&H top sources just like to spread narratives that normally have an anti Steidten agenda.
Think thatās why tbh
Let him go, based on his story so far, the lightweight description fits and is not what West ham need.
Should never have been signed in the first place, but given he’s picked up a decent salary for contributing **** all so far, it would be disappointing if the ‘top source’ was correct with this one.
Should get his head down and put a shift in till the end of the season
His wages have mostly been covered by FIFA as was injured on international duty. Do agree with you and Ray he wasnāt the striker we all wanted.
Donāt think he was first, second or third choice on Timās list though to be fair to him.
