Furious Hammers fans want Moyes gone after a disastrous season which hit a new low against Newcastle United.
The Hammers are now believed to be looking at various managerial options but meanwhile Moyes’ catastrophic reign goes on.
Here’s a number of typical reactions from Claret and Hugh Facebook and website followers.
- That’s 5 confirmed season ticket renewals that won’t be happening if this manager isn’t sacked before the next game.
- With ECL games on top of a punishing schedule I believe we are done and will be relegate along with Saints and Forest. The other clubs around there look better than us.
- We’ve gone from solid defensively and dangerous at attacking set pieces to that shambles in the space of 12 months. WHY?
- Last night was the worst game I had ever seen. Time for Moyes to go. No idea last night and the team need to understand it was as bad as it has ever got.
- Someone mentioned Brendan Rodger’s. I’d take Kenny Rogers if it meant Moyes had gone
- It’s the definition of madness to keep doing the same thing week after week and expect a different result. Its clearly not working to everyone apart from Moyes.
- To make four like for like subs and continue with same formation is absolutely ridiculous. The game was screaming for two up front and probably a 3-5-2 formation but he just ignored it all and carried on regardless. The bloke simply has to go NOW.
I wasn’t furious with the Newcastle game because it looked to me like the players were fighting for it and I can’t blame Moyes for the individual mistakes that led to us losing it
Declan Rice said after the Newcastle game that he loves working with Moyes and so do the other players he said they love him as a person, and as a man, and that Moyes was great for them. That’s quite an endorsement. Rice didn’t need to say that. If he wanted Moyes sacked he could have said nothing. For me that’s the overriding reason why Moyes should be kept in the job. Also because he deserves the chance to win the Europa conference.
