Following on from the rumoured fall-out between Julen Lopetegui and Mohammed Kudus at the Brentford match, new reports have confirmed what had been rumoured – that other dressing room bust-ups have indeed taken place at West Ham. It is clearly not a happy place right now for head coach or his players: Lopetegui is clearly right on the edge .

The latest report in todays dailymail.co.uk confirms that Lopetegui has had a massive falling out with defender Jean-Clair Todibo just last Saturday during the match against Arsenal:

Mail Sport can reveal that the Spanish Coach was involved in an intense verbal dispute with summer signing Jean Clair Todibo at half time of their 5-2 loss against Arsenal…

Todibo made clear his frustration during the break which escalated into a row with Lopetegui.”

How this impacts the dressing room is only too obvious from the results on the pitch. Falling out with one of the club’s most expensive summer signings cannot be good for morale or esprit de corps. You have to feel sorry for club captain Jarrod Bowen who must feel he has inherited a poisoned chalice and be stuck between a rock and hard place just now.

    Sack the head coach

  • Hammer says:

I’ve worked for incompetent bosses and they just don’t make you want to go in to work. So I can understand the players unrest. He keeps playing high press when most of our defence don’t have the legs to keep up with the breakaways.
Hope he is gone by the weekend

    • Matt says:

Same here and well said đź‘Ź

    • Hammer _Rite says:

      You’re right Hammer
There’s only a few teams who are capable of playing a high press(Liverpool for example) and we’re not one of them.
We got caught out Chelsea and Arsenal at home and yesterday for Leicester’s third goal and probably more this season.

  • Jimbo says:

I’m wondering how you consider spreading such gossip as being in any way helpful to our current plight Martin? If I was JLo then I’d have told the whole lot of them what I thought of that 45 mins against the Gooners. Useless manager or not, there can be no excuse for 11 internationals performing like that. We seem to turn every good player we buy into a poor one irrespective of who the manager is, going back to Haller.

Todibo lumped Lopetegui in the face during training?! Hence why he was out the squad last night
Apparently Lop had a bruise on his face and there was a big falling out
WEST HAM DESPERATE FOR IT NOT TO COME OUT.

  • lee says:

all blame Martin sits with that **** Sullivan, for taking the cheap option and yet again showing no ambition, and no common sense with signings.

  • Dave says:

He was right to call out Todibo, he’s been absolutely atrocious.
A few of them need some home truths.

    • Matt says:

      So does Sullivan!

We never wanted JLo – he was never going to deliver a brand of football we as fans would enjoy.

The biggest truth is Sully got it wrong and failed to listen to his Director of Football.

Hurdler, Amorin and Hoeness are all coaches that would excite the fans.

There is only one left we can entice to rescue us from Sullivan’s brainless appointment.

The truth is pay the release clause of Hoeness!

  • Matt says:

Apparently if we are to believe SkySports News…

The board are 60% in favour of sacking JLo with 40% either against or undecided.

Kretinsky isn’t a board member and neither is Tim so unfortunately Im guessing that don’t get a say in the matter.

Would it be safe to assume that Vanessa Gold (Joint Chairman), Andy Mollett (Chief Financial Officer), J Albert Smith (Non-Executive Director) and Daniel Harris (Non-Executive Director) are the majority that want to cut our losses and replace JLo 🤔

With only David Sullivan and Karen Brady the two clueless people preventing the club making the most obviously needed decision.

Sully won’t admit his epic failure in choosing JLo and Brady is just a nodding dog that agrees with whatever Dave says.

To make the % work one of the Non-Exec Directors must be sitting on the fence.

    • Matt says:

I had a feeling the next news story would be about the Board meeting after my post and obvs with a top source thrown in.

  • Gaz says:

The players should be run until they vomit. Then given a wipe and repeated.
Against any reasonable opposition they are always second (or third against Arsenal) to the ball. Alvarez looks like he has developed club feet (not possible, but I swear…). Soucek, for whom I have plenty of time, is gassed. And so on down the list of underperformers.
Pep Guardiola couldn’t turn this pig’s ear into a silk purse.

  • John Ayris says:

What on Earth is Sullivan dallying for ?

    This gets worse and worse.

Put Noble in charge for the interim and have the academy coaches prepare for the Wolves game. We need the best team selected and a coherent shape, they are quite capable of that is not being done now.

Noble is immediately popular with both the players and the fans is an instant benefit as soon as it’s done. Any dressing room issues sorted, something for the fans to get behind.

The last two performances have been farcical, beyond any worst I’d ever imagined even though my expectations were not high. Very difficult to do worse than.

Poor performances and results are bad enough, add rancour to it and why the hell isn’t he already gone…

    • Matt says:

We both have agreed many times that Hoeness is the best available coach we can appoint.

We also know he has a release clause / pay it!

We also know he was on Tim’s shortlist when we originally discussed replacing Moyes. It’s safe to assume Hoeness would be a massive upgrade on Moyes and JLo.

We also know Sullivan should play no part in the interview or player recruitment if we are to save our season and be taken seriously.

  • Bennyboy baker says:

It just shows that the players have had enough of him he tries to lay the blame for everything at someone else’s feet when it’s him that decides who plays and what tactics to play by I say tactics but I’m not sure what they are and it appears that the team has no idea what they are unfortunately JLo has got everyone baffled as to what he’s trying to accomplish his constant falling out with players just shows that he has no people skills and definitely no idea what he is doing he needs to be kicked out of our club before the damage is so severe that there is no coming back from that while he remains in charge then we will be looking at relegation it’s clear for all to see apart from Sullivan

    • AndyB says:

The players probably gave up on him before we all did as they have to work with him.

We only have to put up with him for a couple of times a week!

Hoping he is gone today so players and fans can celebrate and start moving onwards / upwards instead of downward and backwards.

  • Matt says:

He lost the dressing room ages ago and we should lose him pronto!

Pantomime season is upon us, maybe he can be the back end of a donkey đź«Ź

No point being the head as he has no vision and no idea how to progress or move forward.

Sullivan appointing coaches “oh no you didn’t!” 🤯

  • Essexiron67 says:

I must admit I wondered if Todibo was injured or just had enough against Arsenal , if that was the case it can’t be allowed. I likeTodibo and think he could, will be good for us but can understand his and other player’s frustration. Totally agree Lop should have been sacked at the final whistle, come on the rest of the board if you love our club and think he should go then stick to your guns to force him out and anybody else who wants to go with him .

  • Matt says:

We’ve seen how JLo loses it at officials even if they have made a legit decision.

He doesn’t look like a manager any player would enjoy working with. Always seems like he’s lost the plot and no surprise players don’t buy in to his tactics, not that I feel he has any tbh

Admit you got it wrong Sully. Let Tim do his job and stay away from interviews and recruitment. We already know you’re not anywhere close to making beneficial decisions for the greater good of the club.

  • Hammeroo says:

Silly Sully sack Loopy Loppy now! Enough of this embarrassing circus. Is there a worse run club in the country, let alone in the Premier League?

  • Theydon Bois Dave says:

Just tell Loppy to bugger off

    • WivenhoeHammer says:

Watching the game last night there was a touchline discussion between Bowen and Loopy Loo and got to say Bowens body language was one complete disinterested.
