West Ham United right-back Vladimir Coufal might be on the move this summer, with Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly showing interest in his services.
Galatasaray is actively seeking a new right-back to bolster their defense for the upcoming season. According to Pesindayiz Galatasaray, Coufal is one of the names they’re considering.
While Coufal has been a reliable presence for West Ham, his performances have drawn mixed reviews. Some fans believe the 31-year-old Czech international might not be the long-term solution, and the club could benefit from a younger, more dynamic right-back.
Perhaps West Ham might be receptive to a transfer offer for Coufal if the price is right. Selling Coufal could provide funds for manager Julen Lopetegui to invest in a younger right-back who better fits his playing style.
While Coufal is on their radar, Galatasaray appears to prioritise signing the younger Sael Kumbedi from Lyon. However, this doesn’t completely rule out a move for Coufal.
Coufal’s future at West Ham remains uncertain. The coming weeks will be crucial as the transfer window progresses. If Galatasaray submits a formal offer that meets West Ham’s valuation, Coufal could be on his way to Turkey. West Ham fans will be following developments closely to see if their right-back finds himself playing in a new league next season.
Coufal is great when going forward and gets in plenty of searching crosses. When defending, he seems to back off the attacker, often, all the way back into our own box instead of getting right up in their face. This practice leaves him in an area where any serious attempt to tackle could result in a penalty.
Generally, I think he has a ” huge heart” and always gives 100%
I hope he stays and JLo can tweak his performance.
It’s silly season. Who hasn’t been mentioned as possibly leaving ? Anyone could leave but it takes more than that to make a story. The majority will not leave simply due to they could not all be replaced.
He only had that one ropey spell in his time with us. He’s solid. Gutsy too.
I don’t know any West Ham fan that doesn’t rate Coufal.
If there are any of you out their, please speak up?
IMHO, Coufal is a mid level premiership full back, not Ray Stweart, but not John Painstil ?
I’m a big fan of Coufal.
