James Collins has revealed the bump to his head on Instagram to prove doubters wrong who suggested he was play acting on Sunday when he went down after the ball touched his hand.
Collins posted the photo on his personal social media account saying “Defiantly got a knee on the back of the head, I’m not a man to rub my head for no reason… I’m not the ref, I’m not there to decide if it’s a penalty or not”
He tagged the photo #MOTD2 in direct reference to BBC Match of the Day pundits Martin Keown and Mark Chapman who appeared to side with Niall Quinn, who suggested the Ginger Pele was a cheat.
Niall Quinn said it on Sky I think, but Martin Keown, aided and abbeted by Mark Chapman went much further on MOTD2 in calling Ginger a cheat and a (Costa-esque) actor feining injury. Clearly they were completely wrong. I was not at all surpirsed by Keown’s reaction/ stupidity but shame on Quinn as he is generally fair and balanced in his analysis. Too much to ask for an apology on Ginger’s behalf?
Just keep on bumping heads , Ginge .. We need you .
Keown has never been right, and Ginges head from the back lump and all is better looking
Even when we all see it happen , live , the plank keown still gets it wrong ?
What a complete and utter waste of space .
Can’t wait for the arsenal game with the anticipation of a win .
Baring injury,s of course .
A child’s brain in a comic book physique !
PLUG!
Ouch – that smarts!
They weren’t the only ones, Adrian Dullard and Darren Gough were talking about it on Drivetime yesterday. Dullard had Ginge in his “3 down” for feigning it in light of the handball.
They should all make public apologies to the ginger pele.
