‘Ginge’ targeted for big move

Rangers boss Stevie Gerrard wants to give James Collins a big summer move to Rangers according to the Scottish media.

The 34 year does not see his Hammers release as end of career and would have to be interested in playing under the Liverpool legend.

A move for Martin Skrtl – with whom the Rangers boss played at Liverpool – is apparently dead in the water because of wage demands and it’s believed that he is now eyeing up the Ginger Pele.

There are other clubs in the frame for him with QPR and Charlton allegedly interested but Ginge may well be attracted to the Scottish outfit where Gerrard was appointed as new boss earlier in the summer.

Rangers shipped 50 goals last season and the former Reds and England midfielder sees that as a priority area for strengthening and Ginge’s experience will be a huge plus for him should he push the deal through.
