Giroud – the fans view!

Speculation that Olivier Giroud could be on his way to the London Stadium is causing much debate on the ClaretandHugh Facebook forum @https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/
The “will he won’t he” debate intensified with news that Arsenal are set to tie up a £44 million for Aleandre Lacazette over the next few days.
Here’s some random views from Irons fans on the CandH forum.
O Let’s get this done and dusted, he’d be a first team regular with our style of play.
O He’ll stay at Arsenal
O All sounding too familiar with all our main targets
O I don’t want him  – too old
O I think he’s a good asset up front – he has all the qualities of putting the ball in the net
O I wonder would we consider taking Giroud on a season-long loan first, just to prove himself?
Get him, although doesn’t make too much sense having him and Carroll in the same team or squad. Maybe and hopefully they are hoping to shift Carroll first before getting Giroud.

  1. There is a strong possibility we will miss out on Giroud altogether as there is a chance Lyon may take him as part of a trade in with Lacazette going to Arsenal. Its never straight forward with West Ham.Would be nice to see Onyekuru sign for us if he or his agent have any sense as he would be so low down the pecking order at Arsenal he would never get enough playing time to force his way into the Nigerian team for next years World Cup.We also need to show a statement of intent and sign Ieanacho ahead of Leicester and screw the buy back clause and just do it.

  2. Still don’t want him . But some fans do . What can one say apart from it’s very frustrating anyway . Sign or not sign . Given West Ham’s history it wouldn’t surprise me to see all fall through anyway .

  3. Too much belief in the media fellas.I would give it a swerve if you are inclined to believe it all.

  4. He’s better than what we’ve got – what’s not to like?

  5. Trust me michael you will always find some who will find illogical or crazy reasons not to like any player we are linked too.

  6. Who can we possibly buy who isn’t another clubs cast off? Everybody is. But that’s some peoples argument not to buy Giroud. There’s some crazy people on here. lmao.
