GOLD BEMOANS CUP DRAW LUCK

David Gold believes the Hammers have got the worst of all worlds from the Capital One Cup Final semi-final draw.

Manchester City was the team everybody was praying they would avoid given the team’s rich home form.

But Gold said: “Every game is winnable but it’s better to go out in front of 75,000 at Old Trafford for example than in front of 45,000 at City.

“Old TYrafford always gives you the feeling that you are playing in a Cup Final!

“Sunderland of course looked the most winnable game on paper so we wouldn’t have minded that one.

“We have played City at Upton Park of course and they are an outstanding but we will go there and give it absolutely everything and in this game anything is possible isn’t it?

“We’d love a day out at Wembley – there aren’t great financial rewards attached to it but it’s a great great day for all of us who are fans.”
