Gold brings injury cheer

David Gold brought some much needed injury cheer as the Hammers got back to winning ways against Newcastle.

Although Diafra Sakho looks set for a long lay-off after the scandal of his mis-treatment at the hands of a Senegal physio, thing look better on the Alex Song front.

The Hammers are unlikely to have any of their injured players back for the game against west Brom on Tuesday evening but things look better for the weekend.

Gold is hopeful Song will be back in action at Upton Park next week though declaring: “I expect Alex Song to be available for Swansea. Dg,”
