Slaven Bilic has indicated that Mark Noble may be available for the League Cup game against Bolton Wanderers next week.
But two players who won’t be appearing for Bolton are Reece Burke and Josh Cullen who have joined the Championship side for the season on loan.
David Gold confirmed their exclusion on Twitter and it’s a double blow for the side who are currently sitting bang bottom of the League with just two points having lost five games and drawn two.
It’s certainly not an ideal step-up for Burke and Cullen who the Irons were hoping would gain some invaluable experience at the lower tier.
Replying to the inquiry on Twitter Gold said: ” Reece Burke and Josh Cullen will not play for Bolton against West Ham in the Carabao cup. dg.”
The Hammers are likely to field a strong team which is set to include such as Adrian, Sam Byram, Arthur Masuaku, Angelo Ogbonna, Noble and Diafra Sakho.
Reece and Burke getting experience of relegation dog fights sounds like the ideal step-up to me – it’ll prime them for life back in the Hammers first team when they return! 😉
