Gold: No Irons fear factor ahead of Liverpool clash

Sakho whamactionDavid Gold is confident the Hammers will go into tomorrow’s game against Liverpool feeling entirely at ease with themselves.

Still delighted at the manner of the performance against Hull City the co chairman believes there will be no fear factor as the team head into their biggest match of the season.

He said: “Of course we’ll respect them because they have very good players and at their best are a top team.

“But I’ve seen the confidence in our squad this week and it was great to see the diamond formation work so well on Monday.

“It seems these days that if you don’t play the diamond you are considered rather outdated so it was brilliant to watch it work so well

“I’ve spoken very highly of Enner Valencia since he arrived and I want to believe that we have found ourselves a 15 goal striker.

“Diafra Sakho (top right) has been highly impressive when he’s been in the team and I think everybody is feeling a lot happier with things this season.
