David Gold has told Tony Cottee there will be no contract talks with Sam Allardyce until the end of the season!
The former Hammers striker had used this website to blast the two Davids for not getting a deal sorted out now claiming the manager has done everything that could have been expected of him.
And he believes the end of season is thew wrong time anyway explaining that it creates a climate of uncertainty throughout the club.
But speaking exclsuively to ClaretandHugh, the co chairman said: “It’s the way we do our business – it’s the way things work with us and nothing will change.
“Whether we are top of the league or bottom we talk at the end of the season. It’s very simple and very straightforward and that’s how it will be again.
“Sam Allardyce’s west Ham future will be sorted out when the campaign comes to an end – that’s the top and bottom of it.”
Conkerpot here you go again you are BFS greatest fan but never put that mans name next to Greenwood or Lyall because that is an insult to them and every real WHU fan dead or alive,
Yes he has done the job in past years but not this year he broke the agreement he had with the directors when he went back to lump and jump football and dropped players that were performing better than the plays he selected for what ever reason his stubborn arrogant nature as kicked in.
BFS is a long ball manager, does not give youth a chance and I do not believe he has the skill set to bring the club forward. I find it amazing that some fans want to see him in charge again next season – honestly do you want to go to games and see Nolan and Carroll in the team, had enough of that. last Sunday was fantastic and would have been even better if we played with 11 players and not 10 players.
I was always proud of the way we stuck by managers like Lyall and greenwood. I liked the fact we were known as a club that had few managers in its history. Weve had some blips along the way. But allardyce has achieved everything and more asked for him. I personally think allardyce is coming into his peak years now as a manager so we better move at the end of the season to tie him up for the next five years.
Nothing has changed and nothing has to change: at the end of the season we’ll say goodbye to BFS and finally we’ll turn the page. DG, please don’t play a joke on us ok? I beleive in you and your good sense. Thanks.
Well done DG, its right that they hold back, if Sam gets another job offer elsewhere then he has a right to pursue it. He has done a better job this season with better players but his constant negative changes have on every occaission provided a negative reaction in the scoreline. If he abandons that approach between now and the end of the season then we may have a real chance of qualifying for Europe through the league !!!
Tony Cottee only speaks for his self and if he read Claret and HUGH daily he would know there is a 5% minority’s that would give BFS a new contract and I believe that included HUGH his self ( would like to know your opinion HUGH ) If DG is telling us his word is his bond and that is why there are no talks I would like to remind him that we were told that BFS was told to change his form of football as we watched last Sunday,at the moment I would say BFS is at the most on 50% of that agreement,
Maybe that is what his new contract shoul say you only get 50% of your wages when you break our agreement and we should be reimbursed with our fee when we have to watch crap because a person thinks he knows more than everybody else.
Nothings changed with Sam.Absolutely true. He’s overpaid, under skilled, looks out for own, takes £3million a year, wins nothing, abuses the fans ,has no idea about the Academy or developing young local players so why would any progressive club want him?
Why is TC talking about giving Allardyce a new contract – the fans do not want him full stop and I hope the chairmen think the same. Tony a big fan of yours but listen to the fans..
