David Gold has promised news “soon” on the hunt for a new signing at left back.
The co chairman – having told Claretand Hugh he will be pleased when the transfer window closes – made it clear on Twitter the search could soon be concluded.
Answering a question from a follower on how the hunt was going, he said: “We will have news soon.”
Norwich City’s Martin Olsson is still seen as the favourite for the job, having been hunted by former Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce for the last couple of years.
