David Gold has made it clear who he wants to win the Premier League title.
Despite their 4-0 drubbing of Stoke City last night the Hammers co-chairman has made it clear that Spurs are not the team he wants to see at the top of the pile come the end of the season.
Gold has been receiving messages of support after he and the Sullivans were abused badly by the Leicester City fans on Sunday.
He had earlier sent a message of assurance that all was well through ClaretandHugh but has now made it clear the behaviour of a section of Foxes fans was unacceptable.
And on Twitter he made it clear where his affections lie when it comes to the top honour after a discussion with various followers.
He said: “I want Leicester to win the PL and I am pleased for their fans but their behaviour towards us was unacceptable. dg”
It was quite a surprise to see the way some Leicester “fans” conducted them selves at the match , quite aggressive in their attitude to our players and officials alike although i suspect a lot of them are ” new fans” that have jumped on the band wagon this season . Not like our good old fans 35,000 in rain , wind or shine or relegation battles !
Leicester have always had some great fans the same as us.Went to Filbert Street many times & have been to The Walkers Stadium a couple of times.I have never had any trouble. All teams have a few bad apples, ain’t like we have angels is it.
I am truly sorry about what has happened to DG & DS. After our second goal the stadium has gone quiet, there was a surreal atmosphere… It was as if their dreams were broken… Leicester are living something unique and unrepeatable and their tension run high … They’re on the verge of an epic win, sometimes our mind plays tricks on us. Said that, violence has never been a good thing, but I share Gold’s position: I want Leicester to win the PL, they deserve the title. 😉
