Gold sends striker assurance

goldDavid Gold has again insisted that Diafra Sakho will be back in action soon.

The co chairman has been regularly questioned about the player on Twitter and has made it clear that the striker is now close to a return.

However, he has now explained that the player’s injury has been “complicated” which hasn’t helped the situation at all.

Gold was asked on Twitter whether his earlier statement that that Sakho would be back after the international break was true and why had the striker been out for so long.

Gold immediately responded declaring: “I’m confident Sakho will be back soon. It’s been a complicated injury which he has fully recovered from. dg

In the meantime Slaven Bilic has made it clear in his latest press conference that Andy Carroll will be fit to rejoin the squad for the match against Spurs.
