Martin Samuelsen look to be on fast track into the first team.
He was singled out for special praise from David Gold and boss Slaven Bilic after his first appearance at Peterborough.
And since then has impressed against Birkirkara in the Europa Cup clash last Thursday and against Southend on Saturday.
Gold was the first to sing his praises when declaring after the Peterborough game: “This lad looks a real player.”
Now he has gone further having been asked whether the Norwegian teenager is likely to get a run of games in the first team.
Gold immediately responded: “I’m confident that it won’t be long before he will get his chance.”
Every week more unknown information becomes available on how badly Hippo ran our club
We were led to believe our academy was rubbish and this year within 2 months of his exit
These youngsters are impressing,
The players are all coming out now saying how unprofessional we were under porky,
The players that want to play for us are a level above anyone who he tried to sign,
The fans have become free like they have been let off from a life sentence,
With the new kit, club logo and ground it’s like being reborn,
All that with no alcohol
Yep a long debate yesterday Bob,I’m still worn out from it lol
The one conclusion I got from it was that we couldn’t have expected anything else from BFS who must go down as the most one dimensional manager in history but that as much as we praise the Daves they left him in charge for too long.
I don’t see any of the young players to get a start barring injury crisis but I think we’ll see them used from the bench a lot more than last year….umm which wouldn’t be difficult lol
Lol,you went into the eye of the storm with eggwhisk or whatever his name was.I couldnt be arsed. Some people you cannot win a debate with or change their opinion.Easier to just stfu & stay out of it 😀
I have to say he was a cunning wordsmith nothing like the usual wind up merchants,I think we kind of agreed about a few things by the end but not sure they were for the same reasons. It did prove to me I’m right never to dip my toe into the Wetpants whirlpool lol
Would be great to see him progress into the first team.He will be given a chance by Slaven im sure if the lad is up to it.Long debate about youth being given a chance under Hippo yesterday but it does seem strange these youngsters we had a serious lack of last season seem to be coming out of the woodwork now.Clearly not this lad,a new signing, but the likes of Cullen,Pike et al all look promising which wasnt what we were lead to believe last year!
Its about time a manager who has the balls to let the youngster prove his worth ( Martin Samuelsen please don’t prove me wrong ) Big sam wont give any youngster a chance and would have just kept us playing his way which is totally wrong for our club…. COYI…
This is great news, young blood in the team makes me so happy
Im really excited to see him this season
