Gold upbeat as Irons stars close in on returns

West-Ham-United-co-owner-David-GoldDavid Gold has delivered two exciting updates and verdicts on two Irons who have been out of the frame for a while.

The co chairman has been closely following Diafra Sakho’s progress on the training pitch and is looking forward to the return of Arthur Masuaku.

Sakho has been recovering from the long required operation on a back injury which has laid him low for far too long over the last two seasons.

And Gold is now confident that his problems are behind him and that he will be ready to unleash his full abilities onto oppositions for the final part of the season.

Discussing the player’s progress on Twitter he said: “Diafra Sakho is doing great he’s running freely and should return to the first team squad in the middle of March. dg

And he agreed with a follower that there was much to come from Masuaku saying: “You are not alone in believing that Arther Masuaku is a good player, he’s young and I believe he will get better. dg”
