Gold : “We’ve outgrown the Boleyn”

West-Ham-United-co-owner-David-GoldDavid Gold has told BT Sport viewers: “We told Sam Allardyce when we interviewed him he had t get us into the Premier Leaguge and he did that.

“Then we turned to him and said he had to keep us up and he did that too. A lot of the fans didn’t like the style of play and at times, if I’m brutally honest it wasn’t pretty.

“But we are building on that now. There was a time when we went to places like Old Trafford looking to snatch a draw but now we go there trying to win”

On leaving the Boleyn he said: “I go back to the forties and one of the downsides of being old is those memories but we have outgrown the stadium if we want to challenge at the top of the Premier League.”

  1. We had out grown that poor football as well,
That seems a fair assessment of the situation
