Gonzo believes Jarrod Bowen is one of the best players in the Premier League.

The winger has been in absolutely electric form in recent weeks and was world-class against Watford at the weekend.

Bowen registered three assists in that game and scored, only to see his goal ruled out for a foul by midfielder Tomas Soucek in the build-up.

In total, the ex-Hull City winger has scored five goals and laid on 10 assists throughout the campaign and his form has been so impressive that Gonzo believes he is genuinely one of the best players in the league.

Speaking on the Hammers Chat YouTube channel, Gonzo said: “I do feel at the moment with Bowen, what you’re looking at is one of the Premier League’s best players – that’s amazing. And here is really the point of it: he’s really cemented that reputation during the point where the team have not been doing well.”

Bowen will next be in action when the Irons take on Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day, attempting to build on that win over Watford last time out, in which he genuinely sparkled.

He has a lengthy contract until 2025 and has seen his value soar to £31.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
