Moyes target Mitrovic in celebration mode

Fulham’s victory over Sunderland last night poured more cold water over Hammers hopes of landing two priority targets this summer.

Both Tom Cairney and Ryan Frederick are right at the top of a David Moyes list of potential signings but with the Cottagers winning 2-1 and returning to the top two, hopes grow dimmer.

However, with Fredericks on a free this summer, the Hammers will be hoping a deal could still be done on personal terms for a player he rates highly.

Cairney, however, is looking less and less likely given he is on a long term deal and set to stay at Craven Cottage for his first taste of Premier League football anyway.

However, a move for on-loan Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, whom Moyes has regularly scouted, could still be on after his highly successful goal scoring spree at the club.

The Serbian has found the net 12 times in 16 Championship games for the club, gabbing his latest when notching the winner last night with a great downward header.
