Good news for Hammers and Haller in particular

Sometimes the cards fall for us and when they do give thanks.

After the misery of midweek at the Kassam Stadium as we went out of the Carabao Cup against Lower division opposition for the third year on the bounce.  a break needed to go our way to brighten the gloom.

And it came in thoroughly unexpected shape when the manager quietly announced that Manu Lanzini – not expected back until after the international break – was in the running for a place against Bournemouth tomorrow (Sat).

As good news goes that’s about the best there is and whether he starts or not that he’s is on the bench and ready to bounce into the action is a huge boost as we look to continue our excellent start to the PL season.

Lanzini at his best is the Hammers feelgood factor who has come right back to his best after a terrible injury. He is probably our best player and even makes Seb Haller a better player than he has already shown himself to be.

This is because he has the vision to move inside from the wing and relieve him of that onerous one up    top job which can wear down even the best.

Along with the dazzling skills when at his best Manu’s presence in the side is a boost for everybody and should he be ready to start one assumes it will be Fornals who goes back to the bench following a decent game against Manchester United last week.

Yes, it was great news after a miserable few days – maybe fortune really is starting to come out of hiding and it makes a likely Irons team look like this: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble; Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Anderson, Haller
