Reading comments on the ClaretandHugh Facebook page, one group member shared a little known fact that if season ticket holders email the West Ham ticket office to request for a paper ticket for the last game at the Boleyn Ground on 10th May against Manchester United they will be posted one out free of charge.
The post suggested you only had to email your client reference number, seat number and your full name ticketoffice@westhamunited.co.uk. It all seemed too good to be true!
Although I wasn’t convinced West Ham do anything for free, I thought what have I got to lose so I emailed them and was delighted to receive the the reply below:
“Thank you for your email below”
“I will get these printed and sent out in the morning for you”
Kind Regards
West Ham Ticket Office”
What a great souvenir of the last Premier League at the Boleyn Ground. I am not sure the ticket office will thank me for publicising this to the masses but fair play to them for this small gesture and priceless souvenir.
It may have spoilt the second hand market for these paper tickets on auction. One user has a paper ticket from the 10th May up on sale Ebay for £20.
