Great news on Adrian contract

AdriansaveWest Ham will not be rushing into new contract talks with goalkeeper Adrian despite his contract running out at the end of the season.

The brilliant Spaniard has been in sensational form this season – looking even better since he came back from his sending-off in the match against Leicester City.

And with his current deal coming to an end once this campaign is through the Irons might have been expected to already be in talks with the stopper.

But when signing a three year deal back in 2013 our negotiators had he foresight to ensure that a two year option in the their favour was also put in place.

And that will ensure that the 28 year old former Real Betis keeper remains at the club until at lest 2018 – great news in a season of great news for all Hammers fans.

A well placed club source said: “The two year option has turned out to be a particularly bright piece of business.”

  1. Was that the only photo you could find Hugh?? Maybe one of him making a fantastic full length save instead of a goal would be nice 😀

  2. Haha, good Superman pose though, pity it didnt stop the ball going in the onion bag 😉

  3. Good news,i like Adrian.Spains No.1 😀

  4. Never mind the fact that he’s tied down – I think the best news is that the club has created a culture under Slav where he wouldn’t want to leave anyway.

  5. I hope we give him a new contract and look after him as at 28 he has 12 good years left in him and his best year are just going to start as most keepers play there best football from 30 to 38 ,
I agree best keeper in Spain at the moment and better than Hart as well,
Should have shown him scoring the Pen last year Hugh,

  6. Is good news,im hopeful he can be our No1 for a good few years to come 😉
