Great servant set for chance at Wolves

Veteran central defender Angelo Ogbonna looks set for a chance at central defence for the Irons tomorrow at Wolves.

Oggy has been slowly progressing back to his best over recent games and with Dawson ruled out for unexplained reasons the manager has spoken in good terms about the long serving central defender.

He told reporters: “I think it was good to see Angelo get a few games and get steady again. I was pleased with that.

We are also trying to get Emerson more games but we see him more as a wing back and it suits us better when he is there.

Paqueta is beginning to settle down a bit more and play. His form is beginning to give us a bit more but he is looking more like a central midfield player, a one of three. They are the things we are picking up on.

Said (Benrahma ) did brilliantly well coming on and made a difference but we are needing Jarrod or Mick or Gianluca to do the same.”

  1. Madness, he´s left footed , the balance would be way off!!… need a right footed player next to Aguerd

  2. Took other coaches for Moyes to realise Paqueta was an 8 and not a 10.

  3. Does anyone have YouTube clips of Downes from last year to show Moyes?

  4. We have witnessed both Southampton and Aston Villa showing how to stop the rot – by playing fast attacking football. Unlike our team, they enter the match with optimism. Rather than working their socks off to retain a 0 – 0, they look for a 2 – 1.
Today it is our turn. Will we again play the same ‘Firing Squad tactics’ – eight anxious players in a line in our penalty area being shot at by the opposition. Or will we try to score the first goal? Sadly, ………
