Guido Rodriguez Realises His Mistake And ‘Longs for Real Betis’

From his demeanour on the pitch, clearly Guido Rodriguez is not having a happy time at West Ham United. It has been a difficult adjustment for the Argentinian world-cup winner, who, in addition to appearing in just about every West Ham Premier League fixture – sometimes to be ‘subbed’ at, or before half time – has found himself dropped from the Argentina national team after his move to the Premier League.

It seems that he regrets his move and is desperate to turn the clock back – or return whence he came in the summer.

From Spanish site todofichajes.com comes a report ‘Guido longs for Betis and assumes [realises] his mistake’ which suggests that we should not be surprised to see Rodriguez return back to La Liga next summer for a modest fee – citing the case of his former colleague Giovane el Celso who left and then returned.

Apparently Real Betis’ manager Pellegrini would ‘open the doors’ at Betis to welcome him back and  ‘could’ try to secure his return on loan in January. West Ham would certainly need to make a new signing to replace Rodriguez- but any number of modest midfielders are available who could do the same job which Rodriguez has performed so far – to be honest, he has been somewhat underwhelming and it could herald the much needed midfield re-modelling needed.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Rodriguez and JLo should both go back to La Liga before Xmas and stay there.

Neither can cut it in the Premiership!

Should’ve kept Flynn. At the very least he’d have sweated blood for the shirt

Exactly right. This Rodriguez is miles off the pace required in the premier league and has the backbone of a wet shoelace
