Half time: Watford 0 Hammers 2

|

A magnificent Mark Noble strike and  a simple header from Manuel Lanzini gave the Hammers a comfortable two nil lead against the Cup Finalists.

Despite Watford probably being the more offensive of the two teams, the Hammers took their chances clinically as they look to end the season in style.

The Hornets were regularly pushing forward but apart from one top save from Fabianski on half time we were never seriously threatened.

The Hammers were defending well throughout and Noble’s effort saw him waltz past a couple of defenders to pass the ball into the net in 15 minutes.

Mcihail Antonio strength and power had been a threat throughout  and the second came from his well struck effort which was helped into the bar but rebounded straight to Lanzini to head home.

The Hammers had another good chace when Antonio was brough down just outside the box bit Felipe Anderson directed his free kick over the top.
