Hammer departs for Villa

Aston Villa have completed the signing of West Ham forward Alisha Lehmann according their official club website.

Lehmann has been with West Ham for the last three seasons but she most recently enjoyed a loan spell with the club’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League rivals Everton. The forward’s only league goal this season came against new boss Ward’s former club Birmingham City with Lehmann on target in Everton’s 4-0 victory over the Blues in March.

During her time with West Ham United, Lehmann netted nine goals in 42 Barclays FA Women’s Super League appearances. She also helped the club reach the 2018/2019 Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley where they were defeated 3-0 by Manchester City.

Lehmann will swap one Claret and Blue kit for another.
