Hammer is right back in form after a season

|

All the excitement surrounding Mo Kudus has disguised an important fact from last night – the rapid improvement this season of Tomas Soucek.

He was on the case all evening and scored the third goal with what was a really classic header into the furthest corner of the net, rising above the TSC defence with ease.

I have always been a fan of the Czech Republic skipper even during his off form days which stretched through most of last season.

His position was switched that many times it became difficult for him to maintain his level of form but this year he is moving forward and closing down with purpose.

What with him, Kudus, JWP, Paqueta, Alvarez and Bowen, never mind Fornals, why on earth are we seeing, or can there be a case, for adding another midfielder to the squad in the shape of a certain Jesse Lingard.

Don’t do it Moysie!
