Michail Antonio has missed out on another transfer possibility as a result of his current injury problems.
The Hammers No 9 is reported to have had the opportunity of a possible move to Gremio – a Brazilian club club based in Porto Alegre which is the capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
Hammer missed out on transfer
It would have represented a near perfect end to his time in the game but a South American journalist who covers the team has declared – per West Ham Zone – that after an agreement was made Gremio called it off.
He said that it was his current knee problems which caused the change of heart despite the Hammers manager and club saying that Mikey is now recovering and training with the squad.
However, there could be half a chance the club will follow up as the window in Brazil doesn’t close until March 7.
This of course will be the second time the player has missed out on a move with Wolves keenly interested at one stage.
However, with only Danny Ings as realistic back up it comes as something of a surprise that the hammers were ready to allow the No 9 to move on anyway and may tell us much about his chances of appearing in claret and blue again.
