Hammer nearing exit door – report

Andriy Yarmolenko is nearing the Hammers exit door, according to a new report.

The Ukraine international has been linked with a potential move to Genoa in Italy, who are now managed by former Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko.

Shevchenko played alongside Yarmolenko at international level for some time, with the latter actually taking his all-time goalscoring record recently.

And it seems that he wants to be reunited with the winger in the January transfer window.

Pianeta Genoa reports that the club are in talks over a move for Yarmolenko in the winter window, although it is not quite clear if that means they are talking to the Hammers or the player.

Regardless, talks are said to be going well, with Genoa even willing to pay a small fee to secure his signature, despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Yarmo has struggled for minutes under David Moyes this season and has failed to make a Premier League start.
