Hammer Nolan reveals thoughts on failed Maguire bid

|

Hammers coach Kevin Nolan has given as much information as he can on the failed bid for Harry Maguire.

The Manchester United and England central defender – speaking on talkSPORT was sorry it didn’t happen despite the clubs agreeing a £30 million fee.

The Hammers fan base was well and truly split over the move but in the end it collapsed with most believing Maguire had chosen to stay at Old Trafford.

Nolan admits he is not entirely certain whether that was the case and has given as much as he knows about what went on declaring:  ‘I think it was very close, I was a bit upset that we didn’t make it [happen].

‘I think it was just in the end, the money didn’t get sorted from what I can gather which is obviously upsetting from our behalf because we wanted to [sign him].

‘Probably upsetting from Harry’s behalf and probably United’s behalf as well.
