Aaron Wan Bissaka is set to be announced as the Hammer of the Year this season by a great margin.
The 27-year-old former Manchester United had been a red-hot favourite, but our own exit poll, which was conducted on the social media platform X, seems to confirm that fact.

Likely Hammer of the Year – Aaron Wan Bissaka
With 1,367 fans voting nearly 57% (56.8%) chose AWB, and nearly 39% (38.8%) chose Jarrod Bowen, who seems set to be crowned the annual award’s runner-up.
Tomas Soucek came third with 2.7%, and the remainder of the squad picked up the remaining 1.7%.
The poll sample is large enough to be statistically accurate within a margin of plus or minus 5%.
There are no player awards gala dinner this season, so the official announcement will be made at the last home game of the season against Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium.
First introduced in 1958 by the West Ham United Supporters’ Club, the Hammer of the Year award has been presented to West Ham’s finest players in recognition of their individual efforts in any particular season.
The inaugural winner was Andy Malcolm and since its introduction famous names such as Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Sir Trevor Brooking, Paolo Di Canio, Julian Dicks and Mark Noble have had their achievements recognised by the Hammers’ faithful as it always voted for by the fans themselves.
The official supporters club, who also continue to run its own poll of members independently of the club’s Hammer of the Year, are also set to present the Hammer of the Year trophy pitchside at the last home game of the season. They will choose two members at random to present their original Hammer of the Year trophy to the player in question.
In a season with few highlights or outstanding performances, AWB is a clear winner.
Bowen gets an honourable mention.
There doesn’t seem to be a Young Hammer of the Year award ?
Great transfer….awesome front-foot player….we just need a midfield with 2 like AWB.!!
