Hammer receive huge boost ahead of Burnley clash
West Ham manager David Moyes has revealed that Jarrod Bowen may be fit to play against Burnley tomorrow. Moyes addressed the press ahead of the Premier League clash at Turf Moor, delivering news that will serve as a serious boost for the team and fans.
Bowen was withdrawn from England duty due to discomfort experienced during a Three Lions training session. The issue was believed to be caused by fluid on the knee, and Bowen has received treatment from the Hammers’ medical staff throughout the week.
“Michail has a small injury,” Moyes stated. “It’s not a serious injury. It will likely keep him out for a couple of weeks. I don’t think it’s a serious one, though. I estimate about two or three weeks, give or take.
“We hope Jarrod will be available for Saturday, but that will be a decision we make on Saturday. It is a bit like a doctor’s surgery at the moment. It’s been challenging for many of the international players because they’ve had late returns. But we think Nayef Aguerd will be okay too.”
All things being equal, Moyes may be able to field his first choice team. Michail Antonio was dropped for the games against Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest.
