Hammer scores stunning Euro 2020 goal

Hammer Andriy Yarmolenko scored the goal of the Euro 2020 Tournament so far in what has to be the game of the European Championships so far.

Holland and Ukraine were nil-nil at halftime but the Netherlands went two-nil up in six minutes shortly after the start of the second.

Ukraine looked in trouble until Yarmo’s stunning goal on 75 minutes giving his national team hope.

The 31-year-old Hammer scored a wonder goal with his left foot via a brilliant curling shot from outside the 18-yard box in Amsterdam last night.

The goal spurred his teammate Roman Yaremchuk on to score himself just four minutes to make it 2-2 in a thrilling game in the second half.

Unfortunately for Yarmolenko, it was all in vain, after Denzel Dumfries, a right wing-back by trade headed in his first international goal to settle it with five minutes to go to settle the group C in favor of the Dutch.

It’s was Yarmolenko’s third goal in two games for Ukraine begging the question why he hasn’t been able to show the same form for West Ham.

  1. He probably can’t show it for West Ham because he probably wouldn’t be on the pitch either injured or sitting on the bench.
Also most good defenders put him on his right foot and don’t let him come inside.

  2. Classic Yarmo. How many times has he scored that exact type of goal but still the defenders can’t stop him.

  3. Did anyone else spot the performance of Embolo for Switzerland? To me he looks tailor- made to lead the line for the Hammers. Be interesting to see him against Italy on Wednesday night.
