Hammer Soucek signs new deal

Tomas Soucek has signed a new four year contract at West Ham.

The 28-year-old had been at stalemate with the Hammers over a new contract and was touted around the Premier League last summer including Manchester United.

Soucek signs new deal

No offers were received last summer and Soucek stayed.

A similar scenario played out this summer where West Ham indicated they would not stand in his way if a club met their valuation.

There have been no inquiries or bids for the Czech Republic defensive midfielder this summer and now it seems his representatives have compromised on his wage demands.

He has recently signed a new four-year contract committing his future at West Ham until 2027.

Soucek  joined the club on a permanent deal and signed a four-year contract in 2020 after he impressed since arriving at the London Stadium in January on loan from Slavia Prague.

West Ham held an option which allowed them to sign Soucek permanently for a fee of £15m as long as they avoided relegation from the Premier League on top of a £4m loan fee Slavia Prague already received.
