Hammer wants to leave for regular first team football

|

Dan Kemp is reported to want regular senior football to take his game to a new level and has told West Ham that he has nothing else to prove at youth-team level.

Capped by England at Under-20 level, he has scored 10 goals and supplied four assists from 17 matches for the team this season. In total, the attacking midfielder has made 72 appearances for the Irons’ Under-23s, which have yielded 22 goals and nine assists.

Football Insider says Kemp is reported to be looking to seal a loan to a lower league club just like fellow youngsters Nathan Holland and Conor Coventry, who joined Oxford United and Lincoln City respectively last week. Yesterday Joe Powell joined  Burton Albion on a permanent two and a half year contract.

Other reports suggest the 21 -year-old player’s move could be permanent with the youngster unlikely to break through to the first team. Kemp has been linked with interest from Leyton Orient and Stevenage among others

These U23’s were on Pellegrini’s watch, we’re ALL now aware he was short-sighted in his approach to the club as a WHOLE!
I do understand that the First Team is the MOST important part of Any club, but he didn’t have an eye on the U23’s as he should’ve done and gave our youngsters the taste and therefore the BURNING DESIRE to improve to get into the First Team.
This is Obviously WHY Joe Powell left as Most supporters who had seen him could see the undoubted ability within him and saw him as either good enough ahead of other players in and around the team Or not far off. I feel the situation was too far gone for Moyes to either gamble on playing Joe to prevent him from wanting out and leaving.
IF we are looking to produce players for the first team, you’ve GOT to give them the opportunity and therefore the understanding that there is Opportunity and a PATH to the First Team. This will Ultimately ATTRACT talented players and youngsters to the club.
If This isn’t sorted out, there may be trouble ahead because OUR supporters expect more from Our Academy than just lip service on the club website! To put it mildly, I’m NOT happy regarding Joe’s departure. ANY CLAUSES to Joe’s departure attached???

Pellegrini bought any youth player, that he considered good enough, along to the senior training facilities and sessions so that he could see them alongside their first team counterparts. It isn’t that he didn’t give them a chance it’s that he didn’t deem them good enough.

Go ahead, move on, improve yourself, we don’t use youngsters at this club…
    All the best.

So the record breaking u23 side will be minus 4 of their best players. Why are none of these young talents being given any opportunity to prove themselves worthy of a first team place?
