Hammer will try to grab his big chance

By Hughie Southon

Conor Coventry appears to have been given another chance to show what he can contribute to the Hammers cause this season.

The midfielder joined the squad for the first week of pre season training and we have checked to find that he is in Evian and ready to be involved if chosen in the first game against Servette on Friday evening.

There has been much discussion as to whether the 22 year old defensive midfielder will remain at the club, be sent out on loan or sold this summer.

With the manager clearly wanting another midfielder – presumably to replace Tomas – Conor has long been seen as a Mark Noble successor. Whether the manager agrees we are about to find out;

The player had a fine pre-season last term and will be hoping to repeat that or even show himself a better player as he makes his bid for first team squad inclusion.

  1. Not with Moyes at the helm, not got a chance so wouldn’t blame him if he did go

  2. Go on Conor do the business. He has done the on loan stuff, now he needs a real chance. I feel that plenty other U23’s are watching.
