Hammers admit regular talks on striker target

CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon

Claretandhugh can now confirm that Chelsea’s Armando Broja is indeed the number one striker target for David Moyes at this moment.

We have learned within the last few minutes that the club have  had regular talks with agents and that the 20 year old is interested in remaining in London.

Whether the £30 million the club want to pay proves enough remains to be seen but there is now no question that a striker appears to be the next signing on the club’s priority list.

And Broja is very much the type of athletic front man we have seen preferred by Moyes after Arnautovic and of course as seen in Mike at his best.

Having brought in Nayef Aguerd at central defence Moyes is allegedly focused on the front line position with Broja preferred apparently to the other option named through the media.

Our insider told us: “We are having lots of talks through agents and could get a call at anytime to move in. That’s how it works.”

  1. Is that how it works? The agents control the timing of the bid? Seems odd.

    • The clubs want to know what sort of personal terms are wanted etc and then talk to clubs and see how much it all comes to along with working out if they want a move or maybe need persuading. Complicated business

  2. Is that a typo, I thought he was only 20 👍

  3. Agents run the whole show these days. I suspect that’s why it takes so long to get a deal.
