West Ham has appointed a company called Fabric Architecture to design, engineer, manufacture and install large-scale fabric covers over the retractable seating gaps inside the former Olympic Stadium.
The company has released a press release saying:
“Building on the strong relationships formed with senior members of the project team from Olympic Park related projects like Westfield Stratford, Fabric Architecture was well positioned to take on further challenges.”
“West Ham United had, for many years, looked at possible options for the seating covers, particularly relating to the fixing detail. However they had been unable to find a supplier who could resolve the range of complex issues so approached Fabric Architecture for a solution.”
“With a specialist team of talented Designers and an in-house Engineer, Fabric Architecture applied a practical approach to the problem and solved it in the early design stages, going on to secure the contract and develop the scheme alongside the client.”
