Former footballer Chris Sutton has carved out a notable career as a professional pundit/troll in recent years, and once again, his focus seems to be on West Ham.
It’s unclear what has irked the former Celtic, Chelsea, and Blackburn striker so much, but he certainly takes pleasure in criticising the Hammers. Sutton was particularly vocal in his criticism of West Ham fans during David Moyes‘ final months at the club. He infamously labelled Irons supporters “not real fans” when some left the stadium in the 65th minute following Declan Rice’s goal that put Arsenal 6-0 up back in February.
Predictably, Sutton is at it again, this time reacting to news reports linking Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers with the West Ham job.
Sutton remarked, “Rodgers is at a huge club north of the border. Oh, come on. He wouldn’t want to downgrade, even if the money was right, and go to West Ham from Celtic.”
Make no mistake, Sutton is articulate enough to avoid overtly derogatory terms like “downgrade,” but he just can’t help himself. For some reason, West Ham remains in his crosshairs, and I don’t expect this to end anytime soon.
This guy is a total dull no mark , has nothing to offer in football bar a half baked opinion no one should care about
Why do you care about Sutton? He probably does it because he gets a reaction and that in turn gives him a laugh. He does his predictions for the week and doesn’t get any more correct than I do, but at least he puts it out there. Ignore him, stop biting, he’ll find another toy to play with.
Why take any notice of what Chris Sutton has to say. Does anyone apart from himself care.
Totally irrelevant pundit bit like when he was a player.
I bet the majority of our fan base don’t even know who he is.
Had a lovely Tuna melt for dinner as well followed up with a helping of apple crumble with custard.
Where was Sutton when Chelsea was **** , oh he was playing for them , they soon downgraded him
