Hammers at a monster price

West Ham are being quoted at a monster 11/1 to beat Manchester City at the London Stadium tomorrow (Sat).

The bookies are expecting no big surprises from the lads when they face the Premier League champions on opening day which can often create big surprises.

Bet365 having given the Irons to win 11/1  are offering 6/1 for the draw whilst quoting city at a measly 1/4 to gain three points.

The odd’s makers will undoubtedly been influenced by City’s record against the Hammers which in their last four visits have seen them win 5-0, 4-0, 4-1 and 4-0.

The bet is a free hit – worth a fiver of my money to potentially collect £60 with my stake back.

Statistics are one thing but the Premier League is unpredictable , especially on opening day where underdogs tend to create shocks.

Anything can happen at the London Stadium tomorrow and in a two horse race the Hammers have a chance – slim maybe – but worth a bet in my world.

With the loss of Leroy Sane, suffering an inner knee injury, the chances are slightly higher, despite them having a bunch of outstanding replacements.

  1. I think we will surprise a lot of people tomorrow. Watch for an amazing injury time goal in an exciting 3-2 win for the Hammers. COYI

  2. City always start fast, it’s a Pep Guardiola trademark for all his teams, he likes to build momentum early. Against Liverpool after the first half they should have been 5 0 up, imho we can expect the same attack out of the blocks, we should also try and blitz them from the first whistle. They are a good team at all times but if we give them a start like we did everyone else in preseason it will be a long afternoon. I hope we make a statement and score 3 or 4 whatever the result that will give us some momentum for the next two away games COYI !!!
