West Ham have secured a professional contract agreement with 16-year-old Chinaza Nwosu, with Hammers’ director of football Tim Steidten playing a key role in convincing the young talent to stay. Mark Noble was also significantly involved in the negotiations as the Hammers faced stiff competition for the player.

Nwosu has decided to remain at West Ham despite interest from other top Premier League clubs and will officially sign the contract when he turns 17 next year.

Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham were all in talks with the midfielder’s representatives about a possible move away from the London Stadium.

West Ham worked diligently to retain our academy standout, so the news that he will stay in East London is a significant boost for everyone at the club.

Nwosu is considered one of the most promising talents to emerge from the West Ham academy in recent years and has consistently played above his age level for the academy teams.

Last season, he appeared 12 times for the Hammers’ under-18s and was named as a substitute in their FA Youth Cup third-round match.

Now this is the kind of real news I want to see on here. I thought he’d go, so glad you’ve informed us he’s staying.
