Hammers bench proves a huge point

|

Antonio -the only Hammer bought by a previous manager left in the team

By Hughie Southon

Take a look at the bench for yesterday afternoon against Man City -what a difference to last season and several before!

The extent to which the Hammers haveĀ  strengthened was demonstrated in very real terms from the days when a couple of goalkeepers were being named at time.

Indeed yesterday I found myself quite shocked to see six players sat there who have been regulars until this season.

David Moyes has now entered a new era which is all about him and his purchases sales as we field a team with only Mike Antonio bought under another manager.

On the bench say Fabianski, Oggy, Cresswell, Fornals, Benrahma and two of the manager’s own buys Kehrer and Ings.

At the same time Ben Johnson was nowhere to be seen and as written here earlier looks certain to be on his way come the winter.

The bench represented all by itself the huge steps forward we have made and well done to all

involved.
