Hammers can make history in final Conference game

West Ham United complete their UEFA Europa Conference League group-stage campaign with a trip to Romanian capital Bucharest to face FCSB tomorrow evening.

And although we need to give some of the youngsters a chance this is a game that we really don’t want to “give away” after topping our group in style by winning all five of their ties to date in Group B.

It would also bring up a historic situation ensuring that we had become the first team in UECL history to win six out of six

Having beaten this team at the London Stadium 3-1 a double would be the perfect way to finish off the group campaign.

It remains a dead rubber of course and we are in a position where we will niss rthe round of 32 which is a serious bonus.

FCSB, in contrast, remain winless and have been eliminated. Indeed, even victory at the National Stadium will not be enough to lift them off the bottom of Group B.

Kick-off on Thursday is at 10pm local time, which is 8pm back in the UK, where the game will be broadcast live by BT Sport 3.
