According to analytics website FiveThirtyEight, the Hammers have a 15% chance of finishing the season at a champions league spot.
The site runs over 20,000 simulations of how the season may go using a variety of factors including defensive and offensive ratings for every side and adjusting these with each simulated round of fixtures, then with that info they have solid predictions on who will end where.
According to the info they generated, West Ham have a real chance at getting a top four finish.
The Hammers are at the 5th spot right now, behind Chelsea on goal difference, just one spot away from the desired 4th place.
FiveThirtyEight’s model have Chelsea and West Ham being absent from the Champions League however, with the highest chance being that Leicester finishes at fourth, one point ahead of Chelsea and six ahead of the Hammers.
If the likeliest prediction is accurate then the Hammers will more than likely finish at 6th place, and a shot at the Europa League.
