Hammers close in on right back

MalcuitWest Ham remain on the trail of Saint-Etienne right-back Kevin Malcuit after being linked with the 25 year old in January.

The Frenchman has impressed for Les Verts this season, and with the Irons knowing the French transfer market well this one looks a possibility.

Malcuit’s importance to the club is emphasised by the fact that Saint-Etienne have failed to win seven of the eight games he’s missed.

Picked up by Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2015, Malcuit has gone from strength to strength, and another move looks imminent.

His contract with the French outfit expires in 2019 but is likely to be available at around £4 million that is not expected to be an issue.

A Hammers source admitted: “He is one of those that we have scouted,”

  1. Kevin Malcuit would be a great acquisition, provided he wants to come to West Ham!
