Hammers confident of defender’s fitness for Goodison

Every player has a role in Moyes’ world

West Ham are confident Ryan Fredericks should be available for the game at Goodison Park a week on Sunday should Vladi Coufal be unavailable.

Vladi – having withdrawn from international duty with the Czech Republic – may be fit for action should he fully recover from a groin injury.

But such problems in that area can often cause problems longer than it would take two weeks rest to sort out so the team may welcome Fredericks back in at right back.

The full back was in tremendous form before having to leave the action as the Hammers beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, setting up the only goal of the game with a sensational assist.

Fredericks is well on the way back from injury and a source explained that he was virtually certain to be available for the match against Everton which is another key game as the Hammers look to get back to winning Premier League ways.
