Hammers confirm Reid deal

|

Winston-Reid-714445West Ham have this evening confirmed that Winston Reid will be offered a new contract in the summer.

Reid is reportd in the national press to have seen his wages eclipsed by Jose Fonte’s arrival and the club are ready to offer him parity and beyond to reflect his value to the club.

And a similar deal will be offered to starman Michail Antonio to ensure there is no unsettled player in the team as we go into next season.

ClaretandHugh checked out the reports with a senior source and were told that they were true and that new deals would be drawn up in the summer.

Kiwi Reid, 28, signed a new six year deal in 2015 but 33 year old Fonte’s arrival – not without controversy after recent performances – has ensured that the New Zealander will go to the top of the pile.

Our source said: ” There are good reasons to offer Reid a new deal and Antonio’s has been on the cards and negotiations habve been on the cards for some time.”
